| The new plant of KOMATSU Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd., with total investment of USD 102 million and covering area of 280,000 square meters, was formally opened in April 16. Komatsu Co., Ltd., founded in 1921, is a world-famous engineering machinery manufacturer. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company has four million employees and the main products are applied in construction engineering, industrial machinery, electronic engineering, and environmental protection. In 2010, the annual sales revenue reached RMB 112 billion. In 1995, KOMATSU Co., Ltd., and Changlin Company Ltd. jointly invested USD 29.98 million to set up KOMATSU (Changzhou) Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd., which is specializing in production and sales of construction machinery and spare parts. The sales revenue has reached RMB 6.4 billion in 2010. For the better development, the company started to build new plant from June 10, 2009. At present, most works have been successfully completed and the relocation will be finished before the end of July. The sales revenue is expected to reach RMB 9.3 billion and the production quantity of excavators and other construction machineries will reach 9,140 in 2011. |
