Last year, Changzhou had actively coped with the global financial crisis by focusing on key local projects and the plan for boosting the five pillar industries of Changzhou, namely the equipment manufacturing, electronics and information, new energy, new materials, and bio-pharmacy. In 2009, the total reported number of paid-in foreign capital was $2.58 billion and the newly added registration of foreign investment by industrial and commercial enterprises totaled $4.32 billion, increased by 14.4% and 16.1% year-on-year respectively. |
